Nintendo Switch's new software update, version 14.1.2 of the system firmware, rolls out after roughly two months of no new patch.

Players of the gaming system of Nintendo waited for a while before they got the latest firmware update for the Switch.
According to the report by Game Spot, the previous update for the Switch, version 14.1.1, was released on April 20. Its rollout is nearly a month away from the March update (14.0.0).
So some would assume that the next release should be sometime in May. But the more than a month-long wait finally comes to an end.

The renowned Japanese gaming firm just rolled out the latest Nintendo Switch system update, which generally improved the overall experience of the hybrid console.
As per a news story by Nintendo Life, the official support page of Nintendo provided details of the changes that the new version 14.1.2 brings to Switch players.

Nintendo's support page said that the new Switch software generally brings a few refinements to its stability. So, its players should expect fewer bugs after getting their hand on the latest firmware version.
Although the Japanese gaming firm provided the full patch notes of the new update, it only gave away a vague explanation of what's new.
Nintendo said in the full patch notes of version 14.1.2 that it brings "general system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience.
That said, it appears that the update that Switch players patiently waited for is a minor one.
But on top of that, Nintendo Life mentions more explicit changes in the new Switch update, thanks to Nintendo data miner, OatmealDome.
It appears that the new version 14.1.2 fixed a few bugs, including what seems to have something to do with its Bluetooth connectivity.
The list of bad words has also been expanded, blocking the misspelled name of Adolf Hitler.
Switch Updates
The latest story from ComicBook.com notes that the Switch is a bit dated already, with over five years since it first saw the light of day. Therefore, at this point, massive updates are no longer expected on the horizon.
It is to note that the last major patch that the Nintendo console got was way back in March.
In a surprise move, Nintendo remarkably gave its players a new option to organize their games into folders.
