Finding your favorite track online is now easier, thanks to different music streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. However, if you want to play music on Instagram and have no desire to use these apps, the upcoming feature is for you.

According to a report by Mashable on Saturday, May 28, you can now check your favorite artists and their masterpieces on Instagram Reels, thanks to the "one-minute music" concept.

Apart from being a place for pictures and clips, you can now discover a lot of tracks that might be trending on social media. In its recent statement, Instagram said that this feature would "fuel" many trends on the platform.

Per Facebook India's Content and Community Partnerships Director Paras Sharma, music has been around on Instagram to date, and it has become a catalyst for the current trends.

He added that people could now search for their favorite singers and tracks on Reels thanks to the arrival of "one-minute music."

This week, popular Indian singers Himanshi Khurana and Kaur B have posted their "1-minute music" content on reels. In just a few moments, they became viral across the platform.

With that in mind, we could surmise that it's now easy to trend on Instagram if you have worthwhile content to share with your followers. For music lovers, Instagram has become a haven of songs and melodies upon the debut of the newly-launched feature.

Instagram Customization Option

Aside from "1-minute music," Instagram is reportedly working on an upcoming feature that will allow you to customize your posts on your profile.

In a report by XDA Developers, the social media platform might grant you control over how photos look on the platform. This discovery was shared by two users who know something about tech research.

Particularly, the first option could allow you to crop the specific part of a photo on your IG profile. The other leaked feature is all about choosing the aspect ratio of the photo thumbnails on your feed.

As of writing, these features are still in development. It might take some time before Instagram rolls them out to the end-users.

For users looking forward to these options, this is a good sign that you can soon customize your profiles according to the available features on the platform.
