The giant automaker Tesla is now isolating Tesla workers in China as the Asian country continues its zero-tolerance policy for COVID-19 infections.
The latest move of Tesla clearly shows how hard it is to maintain business operations in China.
Some individuals (who preferred staying anonymous) familiar with Tesla's activities in China claim that thousands of employees are being quarantined in inactive factories.
Some of them are even staying in an old military camp. They are required to stay there for 48 to 72 hours before joining other workers inside Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory.
China Tesla Workers Isolated in Inactive Factories
According to Business Insider's latest report, Tesla hasn't provided any statement regarding China's alleged mass worker isolation.

If the leaked details regarding disused factories and an old military campsite are true, then there's a high chance that employees of the EV maker don't have healthy working environments.
On the other hand, some experts stated that the latest decision of Tesla is a part of its effort to create a closed-loop system, which will allow workers to live on their working premises.
This may be a tough scenario for Tesla Giga China's employees, but with the Chinese government's strict COVID1-19 health protocols, the EV maker's decision can allow them to continue working.
The anonymous insiders claim that Tesla employees in Giga China are accommodated near the factory when it comes to the actual working environment. The EV maker provides them with shuttle services during their working days.
Thanks to this, Tesla can create the so-called "bubble," which limits employees' physical contact with the public near the Tesla Gigafactory China.
Other Tesla Activities in China
Aside from the mass worker isolation, Teslarati reported that the EV maker is also enhancing its Supercharging network in China.
Tesla was able to add 79 new Superchargers in the Asian country in April.
Now, the automaker announced that it would further expand its EV charging network in China, which has been among the top hotspots for sales and production operations.
Previously, the Tesla Supercharger pilot program expansion happened in Europe.
On the other hand, a new long-lasting Tesla EV battery is being studied.
