Tesla Software Updates

The renowned electric vehicle (EV) maker of tech billionaire Elon Musk has changed how upgrades and improvements are rolled out to cars these days.

Unlike in the past, Tesla rolls out timely software updates to its EVs via over-the-air release, much like how iPhones or smartphones, in general, are getting their much-needed enhancements every now and then.

According to the website of Tesla, software updates offer its customers new features and upgrades, "making your car safer and more capable over time."

It has changed the landscape of automobiles. In fact, other carmakers are now following in rolling out over-the-air updates on their vehicles, which Musk-owned firm is known for.

Teslarati reported that the known hacker who goes by the username "greentheonly" shared what the new function offers. Green says that gives drivers an option to apply regular brakes while using regenerative braking for consistent deceleration.

On top of that, the updates also introduce an all-new driver profile, wherein Tesla owners could now link their music streaming service accounts. It precisely allows them to connect Spotify to their profile.

Not to mention that the 2022.16.0.2 update also shows users their Supercharger wait time.

Not a Tesla App reports that it also provides a fix for the powered trunk mess that some owners annoyingly struggle with.

Tesla Navigation Energy Prediction

A new feature, Navigation Energy Prediction, also rolls out to Tesla owners, thanks to the latest software release.

The EV maker explained that it essentially gives users forecasts of how much energy their vehicle would use in the direction they are taking.
