GameStop will be hosting the next PS5 restock in the next few days. The retailer confirmed that the event would take place this upcoming Saturday, May 28.
If you missed the previous drops, now it's your time to obtain the elusive console soon.
GameStop PS5 Restock
Tom's Guide spotted via Matt Swider that GameStop is now preparing to hold the upcoming PS5 stock event. The tech site adds that this news came from a trusted restock insider who happens to have many connections online.
Swider says that GameStop will host an in-store drop for Sony's next-gen gaming machines. Apparently, searching for these consoles has become more difficult, especially with the ongoing microchip shortage.
Many companies which depend on semiconductors see themselves struggling in supplies and production. One of the industries affected by this issue is the gaming sector that consoles depend on when it comes to chips.
Going back to the next PS5 drop, GameStop could open the event to everyone as early as 8 AM local time. To add, Swider says that there will be a wave of PS5 disc consoles to come into the shop.
The insider continues that each store could house up to eight PlayStation 5 consoles on average. It is expected that the bigger stores could contain even more than the average number.
GameStop PowerUp Reward Pro Membership
Of course, just like other stores in the US, you need to have a membership to gain exclusive access to PS5 drops. GameStop has already implemented the same program for all subscribers who purchase the membership.
Currently, the retail giant requires users to subscribe to the PowerUp Reward Pro so they can receive limited perks when it comes to console shopping.
If you haven't yet signed up for this program, you can visit its official website to get started. Aside from the PlayStation5 drop, you can also enjoy an exclusive pass for Xbox Series X stocks. After all, it's all worth just $15, so don't miss this chance of a lifetime.
Another thing is that several bundles could arrive for the in-store restock. There will be a series of packages that you can choose from, such as the $718 bundle. There's a pricier option at $812, as well.
All in all, there are three bundles that you need to check at GameStop. Each of them has a "Gran Turismo 7" copy, a PS5 DualSense controller, and other freebies included.
