Epic Games-owned music app, Bandcamp, will stay on Google Play Store after a new agreement was made.
This means that the popular music service can still operate on the application platform while the antitrust lawsuit filed by the game developer against the search engine giant takes place.
"Fortnite" developer first sued Google in 2020 after it accused the tech form of anti-competitive practices. Google Play Store and Apple App Store removed the "Fornite" from their platforms as it allegedly breaches in-app policies.
Of course, Epic Games was not happy about it, leaving it no choice but to file a lawsuit. Now, the game creator wants to ensure that Bandcamp will not be affected by the ongoing case.
Epic Games-Owned Music App To Remain on Google Play Store

The U.S. district court of California said, via its official document, that Google allowed Bandcamp to be operational on the Play Store.
The search engine giant will not interrupt the needed updates of the Bandcamp app, allowing users to get the latest enhancements and fixes they need.
"Under an agreement encouraged by the court, Bandcamp will continue to operate using our existing payment system on Android devices," said Bandcamp via its official blog post.
Thanks to this new agreement with Google, the music app's fans can still support their artists on Android. When it comes to revenues, musicians will still receive the same share as before.
However, Bandcamp said that it will put 10% of Android-related sales revenue in escrow while Epic Games' lawsuit against Google is ongoing.
