Epic Games' Reality Scan app can actually benefit both gamers and title creators.
The new photogrammetric app is a part of the game developer's partnership with Capturing Reality, the software company that created the advanced RealityCapture system.
This means that the new Reality Scan app is created by talented individuals working for Epic Games and Capturing Reality.
As of the moment, Capturing Reality is working with the popular title publisher to enhance its Unreal Engine tech further. Now, another move was made by Epic Games and its partner software firm to improve your gaming experience further.

If you take a picture of your chair or other objects without your house using your smartphone, you can use the app to create their 3D versions.
It can easily take your photo data and turn them into advanced virtual displays, which you can move around using your device.
But, Epic Games' new application is currently exclusive as a beta version to iOS users. Although this is the case, not all iPhone users can access the app since it is still rolling out.
If you are an Android consumer, it might take a little while before the new Reality Scan app arrives on your device.
How Reality Scan Apps Can Help Game Developers
News Nine reported that the latest Reality Scan app software is also integrated into the advanced Unreal Engine, a tool by Epic Games that helps title developers.
Since it can turn real-life objects into 3D renders, game creators can use the app to turn chairs, tables, shoes, and other things into virtual displays.
Instead of manually generating 3D renders of simple in-game items, they can use the app to instantly create them. Aside from the new Reality Scan app, Epic Games is also making other efforts to further enhance its gaming business.
On Mar. 3, Epic Games' Bandcamp acquisition happened. However, the exact value of the ownership was not disclosed.
