Windows 11 version 22H2, which also goes by the moniker Sun Valley 2, is confirmed to be coming out in 2022. It brings a couple of new features and improvements to the Microsoft operating system.
Windows 11 Version 22H2
As per a news story by Bleeping Computer, the upcoming Windows 11 version 22H2 update is not on the same scale as the debut of the next-gen OS last Oct. 5, 2021.
Nevertheless, the Sun Valley 2 is expected to bring many improvements to Windows 11. But it is not meant to be a massive overall redesign, bringing radical changes to the software.
Bleeping Computer puts it into perspective, saying that the version 22H2 or Windows 11 is more like the previous release of Microsoft, aptly named the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
Sun Valley 2 is essentially a full feature update, bringing much-needed improvements in the latest version of Windows.
If we are going to be more precise about it, it brings the pin feature to the Start Menu. It also puts back the drag and drop function on the Taskbar.
That's not all. A new UI design is also coming to the good ol' Task Manager, among other minor Windows tweaks.
Windows 11 Version 22H2 Nears Rollout
According to a recent report by Aviation Analysis, the upcoming version of Windows 11 is a stone's throw away from its official rollout.
Microsoft has yet to formally announce its launch date, leaving Windows users and die-hard fans clueless about its release.
However, thanks to the latest leak, we now have a better idea when the Sun Valley 2 sees the light of day even as Windows keeps mum about it.
Although several rumors spits out alleged release dates of the next Windows 11 update, most of them are a bit sketchy.
On the other hand, the latest release date leak is from none other than a well-known leaker who goes by the Twitter name WalkingCat.
Windows 11 Version 22H2 RTM
The leaker tweeted that the Windows 11 version 22H2 is a couple of days away from hitting its RTM.
As per the latest story by XDA Developers, the term RTM has been sparingly used before Windows 10 launched, and it appears to be back these days.
RTM essentially means that the tech giant Microsoft has already concluded developing its new version of Windows, making it finally ready to roll out to its users.
The leak suggests that Microsoft will start rolling out Sun Valley 2 on May 24.
However, it is to note that it does not automatically mean that all users are getting it already, but its rollout is supposed to begin once it hits RTM.
