Windows 10’s Newest Update Fixes a Great Deal of Bugs! No More Booting Delays?

Windows 10's new KB5011831 update provides much-awaited fixes to plenty of annoying bugs that its users have been enduring.

Although Microsoft has already rolled out the predecessor of Windows 10, aptly called the Windows 11, the support for the former prevails.

In fact, as per a news story by Windows Latest, the newest update of Windows 11 includes solutions to critical crashing issues, as well as the notorious black screen.

But it is not limited to the two of them. It also fixes other annoyances found in its built-in apps like Microsoft OneDrive.

Windows 10 KB501183 Update

The Windows 10 KB5011831 update is available for download on Windows Update.

Apart from that, Microsoft also allows PC users to download its offline installer to install the latest patch on various machines. It also accommodates users when WU starts acting up, preventing users from getting the newest Windows 10 update.

However, it is worth noting that the KB5011831 requires Windows 10 users to grant Windows update permission to their PC. Without it, downloading and installing the latest update is an impossible task.

According to a recent report by Bleeping Computer, the newest Windows 10 update is optional, so users would have to manually install it on their machines.

It comes as the Windows 10 KB5011831 is part of the "C" preview updates, which unlike the massive Patch Tuesday updates are not automatically pushed to its users due to the absence of any security fixes.

Instead, the latest Windows 10 update only covers bug fixes and other issues that do not have anything to do with security vulnerabilities.

Windows 10's Newest Update: What's New

As mentioned, the new Windows KB5011831 update comes with quite a few bug fixes that should make your PC experience slightly better than ever.

This specific update rolls out a fix for the crashing issue leading to a black screen when trying to log in or log out of Windows.

It also ditches the copy-paste bug on Internet Explorer and the renaming mess on Microsoft OneDrive.

On top of that, the latest Windows 10 patch updates the Secure Boot component of Windows, avoiding further delays when opening your PC.

In total, the KB5011831 fixes 26 bugs and issues on Windows 10, Microsoft comprehensively listed every single one of them on its support bulletin.
