iOS 16: No New Interface, But to Revamp Widgets and Other Features, Along with New Apple Apps

Apple is soon releasing the iOS 16, and expectations are it will appear at the upcoming Worldwide Developers' Conference 2022 (WWDC), the first sighting of the system. However, reports now claim that there would not be significant changes to the operating system from its current version with the iOS 15, unlike the previous change.

"Sydney" is stepping up to the world, but it will focus on other features and not its primary OS.

The latest Power On Newsletter from Mark Gurman expands on how the new iOS 16 would appear to the public. Apple focused more on upgrading the previous OS but not having significant changes. The same look would come from the past versions, including the iOS 14 and iOS 15, which the latest version offers.

Gurman believes that there will be "major system changes" on iOS 16, but he also said that Apple would not change a lot from the looks of the past two systems.

Moreover, the new iOS 16 would focus on apps instead, not its interface or look that would be noticeable for users as they update their operating systems.

iOS 16: Face Lift on Interface May Not Come, says Reports

Upgrading the device is a massive gamble for some, as it would be opening up their systems to bugs and everything that comes with a new OS. Some opt to do it later as the first update for the next release comes. Mac Rumors reported that the best that Cupertino can offer for this upgrade is a new way of interaction and "fresh" Apple apps to go for the new OS.

The iOS 15 and its Transition to iOS 16

Apple is transitioning to its next operating system version, and it is with the iOS 16, with many leaks and speculations regarding the new OS and its future offers. One of the speculations focuses on the VR headset venture that Apple is looking into. It will expand into communication and games that will help develop more of what it offers.

The feature is said to be coming for the iOS 16, but there are no confirmations for this yet.

The operating system codenamed "Sydney" also talks about how it would not have significant changes from previous reports. It only shows what Apple's take on the upcoming upgrade is. Of course, it would focus on bettering its systems and delivering that there is an upgrade from the 15 to the version 16, but in terms of looks, it might be the same thing.

The last noticeable transition is from iOS 13 to iOS 14, and it is with the addition of the Widgets and other features that users wanted to see for the iPhone. However, Apple may be sticking close with that in this new iOS 16, soon coming for the public to enjoy and use for their devices, going alongside the iPhone 14.
