Apple is now preparing to release the new iOS 15.5 for the next-gen supported devices. The final candidate version for the developers will be introduced after the fourth beta launch.
According to the latest report, it will feature a lot of improvements, including the Apple Classical app, Focus Modes, and more. Here's what you need to know about it.
Apple Launches iOS 15.5 For Developers
Following the Cupertino giant's announcement about the upcoming WWDC 2022, the iOS 15.5 Release Candidate (RC) is now available for select testers.
According to a report by XDA Developers, the iOS 15.5 beta 4 will focus more on under-hood changes.
The article also mentions that known iOS developer Steve Moser has discovered several internal changes for this new operating system. However, many of them are just minor tweaks.
Aside from that, the report also notes that beta 2 will introduce fresh updates for the Weather app.
At the bottom part of the application, you will see a "Report an issue" button. This feature can help you determine the up-to-date conditions of weather in your area.
Speaking of under-the-hood tweaks, Moser reveals that the iOS 15.5 beta 2 has changed some wordings in the past system. Still, they are considered to be insignificant.
Apple Classical App on iOS 15.5
In another story from Mashable, the Apple Classical app is expected to be launched soon. According to the source, although it's now in beta, it's not yet rolled out for the testers.
Since Apple's acquisition of Primephonic, there are early speculations that the tech titan will be creating a musical app in line with the purchased firm.
As expected, the iPhone maker will be focused on launching a standalone music app centered on classical songs.
Apart from that, the iOS 15.5 will bring minor changes for Apple Pay Cash. As such, we could see more adjustments for Send and Request options, as well as to the iTunes Pass.
It should be noted that the macOS Monterey 12.3 won't allow the Universal Control to function. As a result, you first need to update your device before using the OS.
You can upgrade it to macOS 12.4 beta 1. You can also test another option-- downgrading your iPad to get iOS 15.4.
iPhone 15 Rumored to Adopt USB-C
Meanwhile, GSM Arena reports that prominent Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo has a new leak about the rumored iPhone 15. According to a tech insider, it will be the first iPhone to have a USB-C port.
In doing so, the usual Lightning will be replaced. Kuo says that the tech giant will roll it out next year.
If the rumors are true, the last device to have the Lightning port will be the iPhone 14. Going back to iPhone 15, this will be a huge feature for the users since it will sport wider connectivity and ultra-fast charging capability.
Kuo adds that this can also help in reaching decent transfer speeds when moving a file to another folder. However, the details regarding the final specifications will still rely on iOS support.
Since this is only a rumor, it's better to take this with a grain of salt. The only thing that we can do right now is to wait for Apple's announcements regarding this.
