TikTok advertisements' FYP appearance has been increased. This is a part of the Chinese social media's new revenue-sharing program called Pulse.
While this may be bad news for users, it is a great opportunity for ad companies to generate more income from TikTok.
Now that TikTok Pulse is available, the appearance chance of ads on the platform's For You Page has been increased by around 4%.
If you will notice, whenever you open your TikTok app, you will see advertisements as the first content.
TikTok Ads' FYP Appearance Increases
According to PC Mag's latest report, the new TikTok Pulse allows ad firms to place their content on the top of the social media's FYP.
"This experience has opened the doors for brands and advertisers to not only put their brand in the center of where culture is created but to actually be a part of the conversation," said TikTok via its official blog post.
The Chinese social media company added that TikTok Pulse offers various tools that will help advertisements to appear more on the community's FYPs.
Specifically, the Pulse program allows brands to put their content next to the most trending content on TikTok.
The social media company explained that TikTok Pulse was launched to compete against the YouTube Partner Program.

How Can You Limit TikTok Ads?
Of course, many users will definitely be disappointed if their FYPs are dominated by ad videos. As of press time, TikTok hasn't confirmed if the new Pulse program includes targeted ads or if it covers any time of advertisement content.
On the other hand, TikTok doesn't offer a feature that allows users to stop ads from their For You Pages. This is reasonable since the platform generates revenues from advertisements.
But, there's a trick that can help you stop personalized ads. Here are the steps you can follow:
- First, open your TikTok account then click your profile option, which is located at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- After that, click the three-line symbol on the top-right corner of your screen.
- Once you are there, look for the "Personalized Ads" option and toggle it off. This will stop targeted advertisements from appearing on your FYP.
Recently, the newly launched TikTok profile views history feature disappointed some users.
On the other hand, China announced that TikTok and other socmeds will soon be required to display user location details.
