The United States electric vehicle sales saw a massive profit last quarter, and reports claim that it has been record-breaking for the industry since the initial move to change to clean energy. Various car companies already bring their versions of the EVs mixed in their lineup, and the country's future policies will focus on the change to electric mobility for the better.
US EV Sales See a Record-Breaking Quarter
Veloz released a report that based its data on the California Energy Commission (CEC) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) that talked about EV sales in the country. According to it, from January to March, the country's last quarter saw a record-breaking profit for EV sales, focusing on the change to electric mobility.
The report is only a start of what the country will be in several years before 2030. It is known that there are regulations in particular states that it is banning the sale and use of internal combustion engine that burns fuel and is harmful to the environment, effectively lowering the pollution and carbon footprint.
Will This Trend Continue?
The significant switch to electric mobility is massive for the US, and according to Electrek, it is still trailing behind Europe and China's take on passenger or public transportation. There is no saying if the trend will continue, but it is possible as the deadline is nearing for private car owners and public fleets to change to electric power.
EVs in the Country
The United States may be late compared to other Asian and European countries regarding their take on electric vehicles, but that does not mean that it is not catching up to the likes of them. One of the most significant stakeholders in the EV market is Tesla, and it is a company that is an American by heart, despite its owner and founder is not from the country.
Other American car companies also joined the mix, with Ford and its two vehicles already featuring a fully-electric lineup with the F-150 Lightning and the Mustang Mach-E.
It also got several takes from General Motors, particularly with the Chevrolet Spark EV, Hummer EV, Cadillac Lyriq, and other future executions from the company.
Start-up companies also have their take here, and it comes from Rivian and Lordstown Motors, with other manufacturers that aim to debut their EVs.
It is a massive progression that the country, which prefers V-spec engines and high displacements, goes into fully-electric cars that do not have an internal combustion engine. The records now show a progression into electric mobility and adapting to the world for its needs.
