Shigeru Miyamoto, one of the top bosses of the "Super Mario" and "The Legend of Zelda" franchises, spoke on Twitter via the Nintendo of America account and confirmed the delay of the "Super Mario" movie. Here, the executive said that he consulted with Illumination and the movie's star, Chris-san (Chris Pratt), regarding a delay to 2023.
Now, the film that fans expect for a 2022 release will hit the theaters on April 28 in Japan, and April 7 in North America, giving an insight into the anticipated dates for its world premiere.
Miyamoto promised that the delay would be worth the wait for the movie, signifying that the film ensures all aspects and properties that it would release to focus on Super Mario's story.
