Many Switch owners are still having problems with their Joy-Cons because of the drift hardware issue.

For those who haven't experienced this yet, the annoying bug happens when there is a command in the Joy-Con that the player does not input.

This can lead to a negative experience since the drift bug can affect your gameplay. Because of this, many gamers tend to bring their consoles to United Radio, the Nintendo Switch repair shop located in Syracuse, New York.

Nintendo Switch Repair Center's Claim

According to Kotaku's latest report, the United Radio claims that the demand for Joy-Con drift fixes is now worsening. Because of this, the company is having a stressful time in the shop.

The Nintendo Switch repair center shared that there are a lot of repair mistakes because of the high turnover of the consumer.

Aside from this, the New York-based repair shop confirmed that thousands of Joy-Cons are being returned every week. Because of this, employees tasked to fix the hardware issues are being overwhelmed.

"We ended up having to set up an entirely new workspace just for Joy-Con repair," said the United Radio.

Other Issues of United Radio

Aside from the worsening Joy-Con fix demand, employee retention is another problem that the United Radio experiences.

This means that the repair center lacks skilled staff that can efficiently fix the faulty consoles. Because of this, the company is forced to conduct third-party employment.

The United Radio said that it usually acquires temporary staff from Aerotek. However, most of these workers don't last that long.

Now, if you are one of the Nintendo Switch owners that experienced the drift issue, try the troubleshooting methods provided by MakeUseOf before sending your console back to the United Radio:

  • Try recalibrating your control sticks.
  • Double-check if controllers are connected properly.
  • Try resetting the remapping button.
  • Always update the Switch system.
  • Update the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con firmware.

Recently, Nintendo's land adjacent purchase cost around $40 million.

On the other hand, a new Nintendo patent revealed that there would be a new Switch controller.
