RAM 1500 EV: Aims to 'Steal Thunder' from Ford F-150 Lightning
A teaser tweet from RAM announces and confirms the new RAM 1500 EV that will bring the next-generation clean energy vehicle from the famous pickup truck brand. It is widely known that RAM is also joining the clean energy industry by replacing its gas engines with electric motors that run on battery power.
The brand said that it is "trying to steal some thunder," and it is a direct hint to a brand it considers its rival and competitor, Ford, particularly with the F-150 Lightning EV that launched earlier.
RAM has no explicit details on the clean energy car, only that it will take on the design and name of the 1500 pickup truck line of the company.

Electric Pickup Trucks Now
The world is already familiar with electric vehicles, and companies like Tesla, Volkswagen, and GM have launched their extensive lineup of EVs in the market now. However, 2021 was the year that marked the rise of electric pickup trucks that teased themselves last 2020, giving people hope for the electric vehicle industry and its future.
It is not only the Ford F-150 Lightning that reigns in the list of an electric pickup truck that gives a promising ride and multiple features on its list. Other companies also have their take on this EV scene that asks for the car with a cargo bay behind.
Note that the GM's Hummer EV is one of the famous ones that has already begun its release for some, with other units coming soon for everyone.
Not to mention the Rivian R1T pickup truck from the famous electric car company startup.
RAM may be releasing their take on electric pickups later than everyone else in the car industry, but that does not mean they are late or have missed the opportunity to bring their EV. It is only marking its beginning for an electric vehicle for all needs, especially with a known brand for its ICE pickup trucks.
