The lack of an iPhone charger is one of the main complaints of Apple consumers. The giant gadget developer announced its decision not to include wired chargers in its iPhone sales way back in 2020.
Many individuals were not happy with the move. But, some of them accepted this change since it is not illegal in many countries.
But, it seems like Brazil is not taking the absence of iPhone chargers lightly. This was seen after a Brazilian judge decided to fine Apple, forcing the company to pay a man around $1,000, as reported by Android Authority.
Lack of iPhone Leads To $1000 Apple Fine
According to Mac Rumors' latest report, a Brazilian customer filed a complaint after he discovered that the iPhone he purchased didn't have any charger.

The man filed a lawsuit against Apple. Some individuals may think that Apple will not be affected since the company has been selling iPhones without chargers since 2020.
However, the Brazilian judge handling the lawsuit said that this business activity of Apple is illegal.
"According to article 39 of the Consumer Code (CDC), 'tie sale' is an abusive and prohibited practice in Brazil, so it is not allowed to sell cell phones and charger separately," said Judge Vanderlei Caires Pinheiro.
He added that since tie sale is illegal in the country, Apple needs to pay the stated fine if it wants to settle the lawsuit against it.
Not the First Time
The latest lawsuit against Apple because of its tie sale is not the first one it faced. In 2021, another complaint was filed by the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo.
Officials stated that removing the charger is against the Consumer Law Code.
Because of this, the giant tech manufacturer was forced to pay a $2 million fine.
