Apple's iPhone Macro Challenge now has its winners! The giant tech manufacturer announced its competition on Jan. 25.
The photography tournament is quite simple. All you need to do is use your iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max and take some photos.
You need to use your device's Macro mode. This means that you need to zoom in on your subjects. Because of this, many participants decided to have a nature-based theme.
Of course, only a few talented individuals were able to win the challenge. Now, here are the winners of the Apple iPhone Macro Challenge 2022.
Apple's iPhone Macro Challenge 2022 Winners
According to MacRumors' latest report, the iPhone maker selected ten winners from all entries of the photographers in Hungary, India, Italy, Spain, Thailand, the United States, and China.
Here are some of them:
Guido Cassanelli (Sea Glass)
Guido Cassanelli's "Sea Glass" photograph is the first winner of Apple's Macro Challenge. It focuses on the weathered pieces of glass that can be found on the beach.
Abhik Mondal (Volcanic Lava) This art piece shows a detailed image of a sunflower. The red, orange and yellow color contrast is the reason why it is dubed as "Volcanic Lava."
Prajwal Chougule (Art in Nature)
Prajwal shared his love for nature through his photos. Since he wanted to join the Apple iPhone Macro Challenge, he decided to take a photo of a very simple spiderweb. In his photo, you can see the dewdrops that are perfectly aligned in the spiderweb.
Aside from these three, here are other winners in the latest iPhone Macro Challenge:
- "A Drop of Freedom" by Daniel Olah
- "Leaf Illumination" by Trevor Collins
- "Strawberry in Soda" by Ashley Lee

How To Take Photos Like These?
If you have an iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max, then achieving the photos above is not impossible. But remember, most of the winners in the latest iPhone Macro Challenge are professional photographers.
So, if you want to capture photos that are comparable to theirs, then you need to start practicing. Of course, Apple Newsroom provided some tips you can try to enhance your photography skills in Macro mode.
- First, always make sure that your subject is zoomed in.
- Make it a habit to click your subject before capturing the photo.
- Take advantage of your viewfinder. This will allow you to see if your subject is in the proper place.
- Shoot at .5x to capture an Ultra Wide field of view, or try shooting at 1x for tighter framing. This will allow your device to switch cameras as you get closer to your subject automatically.
Meanwhile, Apple's iPhone assembler decided to halt its operations because of the ongoing China lockdown.
On the other hand, the free Apple TV+ MLB access is allegedly a marketings strategy for the upcoming iPhone leasing service.
