Apple dominated the teen tech market, a new study claims. This means that young users prefer the giant tech firm's products, such as iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watch.

For the past few years, the manufacturer's smartphones and other gadgets have always been among the most in-demand products in the technology industry.

Now, Piper Sandler, an American investment bank, conducted new surveys. The fintech firm undertakes two surveys to see what gadget brand teenagers in the United States prefer every year.

The last one, which covered 2021, showed that Apple is still the most preferred brand by young users.

Apple Dominates Teen Tech Market

According to Apple Insider, the latest Piper Sandler Spring 2022 report revealed that Apple dominates the teen technology market.

Based on the findings of the fintech firm, more than 87% of the 7,100 teenager participants own an iPhone, with iPhone 13 covering 23% of the teen ownership. These young people are located across 44 U.S. states.

Last year, Apple's advanced smartphone showed almost the same result, with 86% of teenagers owning the product.

Meanwhile, Apple Watch is also among the most preferred gadgets of young people in the United States, with 34% owning the smartwatch.

Aside from iPhone and Apple Watch, 72% of American teens also own a pair of AirPods. This shows that the giant gadget creator is attracting more young users as the years go by.

Why Teens Prefer Apple Gadgets

BGR reported that Samsung and other Apple competitors are also gaining traction for teenager users. But, all of them are still far away when it comes to the Apple product demand percentages.

One of the main efforts made by Apple that attracted a lot of young users is its advertising style. Back in 2020, its iPad commercial became appealing to teenagers.
