The new "Kingdom Hearts IV" has been confirmed by Square Enix. The game developer even released the title's official trailer to hype its arrival further.
Square Enix revealed the new game during its 20th-anniversary event.
This opposed the title publisher's previous promise, saying that the current "Kingdom Hearts III" was supposed to be the last chapter of its popular action series game. "KH3" was launched in 2019.
This title arrived around a decade after the "Kingdom Hearts II" was released in 2005. After that, Square Enix promised some spin-off version of the "Kingdom Hearts" series.
But, only one, the 2020 music title "Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory," was released. Now, gamers have something new to look forward to.
""We just announced Kingdom Hearts IV and Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. #KH20th," said Square Enix via its official Twitter account.
'Kingdom Hearts IV' To Arrive
According to Venture Beat's latest report, the official release date of the new "Kingdom Hearts IV" title is not yet confirmed. But, some game critics have already shared their predictions.
They based their launch date estimations on the habit of Square Enix. Since the game developer took a few years before releasing "KH3," rumors claimed that "KH4" will arrive around 2024 or 2025.
Aside from the release date, Square Enix also didn't confirm the platforms that will feature the new title. Although this is the case, some enthusiasts believe that the game developer will first release the new title on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
Meanwhile, others claimed that "Kingdom Hearts IV" will be first available on PC. But, this will still depend on Square Enix's decision since "KH3" was not released on PC two years after it arrived on consoles.
What To Expect From 'KH4'
Square Enix's new game trailer for "Kingdom Hearts IV" reveals a modern city setup. After that, Sora, the protagonist of the game series, was shown.
Now, the popular character has received a major visual update, making him look like a kid that is already in puberty age.
In the video, Sora looks like one of the characters in "Devil May Cry" or other similar titles. However, some gamers said that the new look of Sora is quite different from the usual art style used by Square Enix in other "Kingdom Hearts" titles.
