TikTok has an error that blurts out that "this content is age-restricted" even if the user is an adult who is old enough already to do virtually anything on the filthy world of the internet.
The China-based video-sharing app, TikTok, has continued its unprecedented rise with massive popularity.
That's all thanks to the trending and viral video content that TikTok users have been posting these days. Some of them even make it to social media big names like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and get a massive number of views as well.
All that said, there is no doubt that the emerging platform, TikTok, is no longer an app that is easy to ignore by online folks, as per a news story by ScreenRant.
Thus, some, if not most, could not help but join the latest bandwagon. In fact, the news outlet noted in its report that it has been a mainstay in the top download apps on the Apple App Store.
TikTok 'This Content is Age-Restricted' Error
However, TikTok is not all about viral videos and endless scrolling, it also comes with its fair share of errors and bugs.
One of the latest errors on the video-sharing platform is pretty annoying to most users as it completely prevents them from watching a video.
Instead of auto-playing the video, a message prompt will then block it saying that "this content is age-restricted," preventing the user from viewing it even if they are no longer under-aged.
Experiencing such an issue could be infuriating to some as it stops them from watching videos on the platform, leaving them with a message that the content is unavailable due to age restrictions.

How to Fix TikTok 'This Content is Age Restricted Error'
Nevertheless, there is still a way to get rid of the annoying message that imposes age restrictions even on adult TikTok users, according to a recent report by Game Revolution.
The solution to the annoying age-restriction pop-up is to turn off the Restricted mode on your account. Here's how to do it:
- Select the Profile button on the lower-right corner of the TikTok app.
- Then, tap the three lines menu on the upper-right side.
- After which, click "Settings and Privacy."
- From there, select "Digital Wellbeing."
- Then, turn off the Restricted Mode if it has been enabled.
