Nintendo $50 eShop gift cards are now $45, saving for $5 when you buy from Amazon. Yes, the online retailer is now selling $50 eShop gift cards for Nintendo at a 10% discount, automatically giving buyers $5 off at $45.

How to Get a 10% Discount from Buying a Nintendo eShop Gift Card

According to Engadget, for those that want to buy the latest Nintendo Switch games, including AAA titles, sometimes there's no choice but to pay the full price. With the new discount from Amazon, however, buyers will be able to get Nintendo games at a discount of 10%.

The publication reported that Amazon is currently selling its $50 Nintendo eShop gift cards for just $45. This means that buyers save 10% or $5 when they purchase the gift cards directly from the online retailer.

Digital Code Gives Users a $5 Discount

It is important to note that buyers will be getting a digital gift card instead of a physical one. This means that instead of receiving a card, buyers will get a code that entitles them to $50 after purchasing the card for just $44.99 or 10% off the original card price.

Buyers can reportedly use the Amazon gift card in order to purchase the latest games like "LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga" or other games. The new code allows buyers to purchase the gift card on the official Nintendo store for Nintendo Switch games or collectibles.

$50 Nintendo eShop Gift Card Costs Exactly $44.99

The discount allows buyers to purchase certain titles that would most likely not get discounted anytime soon. This includes game titles like "Kirby and the Forgotten Land," "MLB The Show 22," or even "Rune Factory 5," all costing $60.

The eShop gift cards cost $44.99, meaning buyers will be able to save an exact $5.01 on the deal. It is also important to note that the discount only works for the $50 gift cards meaning if you purchase the $70 or the $45, the 10% discount will no longer apply.

How to Make the Most Out of the Discount

Buyers can also choose to purchase indie games or even remastered DLCs. These include games like "Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, '' a remaster that costs $20.

Other popular choices include the DLC "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass," which costs $25 exactly, or the indie game OlliOlli World which costs $30. Shoppers can buy the Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition and OlliOlliWorld for exactly $50.

To add, buyers can take the discounts further by using promo codes from the Nintendo website. As per Engadget, buyers can also purchase the discount card to use later on before the card officially expires.
