Amazon Prime Video will be streaming 21 New York Yankees games exclusively to its users for the 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) season.
The streaming service of the retail tech giant Amazon, Prime Video, will air several New York Yankees games, starting on April 22, as per a news story by Engadget.
However, the exclusive streaming of these games will only be available for Amazon Prime members in select locations, such as central New Jersey, New York, northeast Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
Amazon Prime Video will be airing a total of 21 New York Yankees games for the MLB 2022 season.
Engadget noted in the same report that 19 out of 21 Yankees games will be aired on a Friday evening-just in time as its viewers gear up for weekends.
Amazon Prime Video and New York Yankees
It is worth noting that the tech giant has previously purchased the Yankees Entertainment Sports Network or shortly known as YES way back in 2019.
Since then, Amazon has been streaming Yankees games on YES and Prime Video simultaneously, allowing TV viewers, as well as cord-cutters, to enjoy the action-packed baseball matches.
In fact, Amazon has been streaming the games on Prime Video for three years already, but the third year marks a significant change in how the games will be aired.
It comes as some matches of the Yankees will exclusively be seen on Amazon Prime Video, requiring fans to subscribe to the streaming service to stream all games.
That said, the 21 exclusive Yankees games on Prime Video will not be airing on the YES network.

Major League Baseball and Streaming Services
Apart from the exclusive Yankees games on Prime Video, Major League Baseball is also giving Peacock the rights to exclusively stream some games for this 2022 season.
The streaming service of NBC Universal, Peacock, is streaming 18 baseball games exclusively to its subscribers, starting in May.
What's more, Apple TV+ is also joining Amazon and Peacock in streaming exclusive MBL baseball matches to its users.
The streaming platform of the iPhone maker will be airing live Friday Night Baseball games as well.
Although the live baseball games on Apple TV+ will exclusively air on the streaming service, it is also accessible even for its free tier users, according to a recent report by MacWorld.
