Earlier this week, Google unveiled a series of announcements so that data scientists could take advantage of the Cloud data storage.
The search engine giant launched a preview release of the BigLake engine which will make data analysis in storage lakes much easier.
Google Introduces Open Ecosystem For Shared Data
According to a report by VentureBeat, Google recently announced that a new set of tools are coming to improve AI and machine learning experience for the users.
The open ecosystem which is expected to be a useful addition for data sharing could be the solution for the company to other cloud competitors.
Google Cloud VP for databases, data analytics, and looker Gerrit Kazmaier said that the company considered data as its top agenda for its C-suite. He acknowledged that every firm is considered a "big data" company.
"BigLake allows companies to unify their data warehouses and lakes to analyze data without worrying about the underlying storage format or system, which eliminates the need to duplicate or move data from a source and reduces cost and inefficiencies," Kazmaier announced in a statement, per Techcrunch.
What is Google BigLake Platform
Speaking of which, Google said that it's a special platform used for cloud storage. It covers both local and commercial use of data sharing even with the company's competitors.
In addition, this service offers sophisticated tools for the unification of data lakes and warehouses in the context of a multi-cloud environment.
Per Google Cloud Director Sudhir Hasbe, BigLake is important in merging various worlds together with regard to data storage. Of course, the freedom is limitless if you can store your data with no restrictions whatsoever.

Google Data Cloud Alliance
Venture Beat added in the same article that it's planning to launch a special collaboration with other firms such as Elastic, Dataiku, Starburst, and more. The so-called partnership known as Data Cloud Alliance will allow the free flow of open data formats across different barriers in corporate and other related fields.
Google's venture with artificial intelligence looks promising so far, but to stay in the competition, it needs to steadily establish connections with several cloud vendors in the market.
Kazmaier said that the company is focused on creating "one-of-a-kind" technical products. Furthermore, the tech titan's mindset is glued to improving its innovation for seamless data sharing and storing. It also noted that there's a need to have an open ecosystem that will serve its purpose most appropriately.
Google's VP of cloud AI and innovation June Yang said that they will remove the limitations in data clouds en route to the gradual closing of the Data-to-AI-Value gap.
The company indeed wants to stay away from the traditional notebooks so it could construct more powerful models that are faster and more advanced than them.
With that, Google is looking forward to the data sharing that the businesses might want to do with their AI models. In this way, the developers and data scientists could have a good glimpse of the improvement of these models.
