An Apple store staff claimed that the giant iPhone maker breached New York's employment law. Because of this, the former worker filed a lawsuit against the tech firm.
"This is a class action on behalf of all employees of Apple Inc. ("Apple" or "Defendant") in the State of New York that engage or have engaged in manual work in the course of their employment," said in the new lawsuit.
Right now, the giant iPhone maker is still facing other issues when it comes to employment.
These include problems with salaries and the working environment.

Apple Store Staff Sues the iPhone Maker
The new lawsuit under the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York claims that Apple breaches the city's employment law.

Right now, New York requires tech firms and other companies to pay their employees on a weekly basis. They can only conduct the regular payroll dispersal if they have express authorization.
The former employee, Raven Ramos, complains about the semi-monthly basis. He said that instead of releasing his salary every week, the company provides the payroll every after two weeks.
Because of this, Ramos currently demands Apple to pay for the liquidated damages, interest, as well as attorneys' fees.
Other Details of the New Apple Lawsuit
According to Apple Insider's latest report, the new lawsuit against Apple states that around 100 members also complained about the semi-monthly basis payment conducted by the store.
They are asking the tech firm to settle their untimely paid wages as liquidated damages. As of the moment, the total amount that Apple might pay its employees is not yet confirmed.
