Twitter's "text selection" feature is likely coming to its Android app version, bringing the essential feature, which Apple iOS users have had for some time now.

It is worth noting that the Twitter app client for the mobile operating system of the iPhone maker has been sporting the feature that allows users to select text on tweets for a while already.
Meanwhile, as per a news story by Android Police, the prominent and reputable leaker, Jane Manchun Wong, revealed an upcoming feature on the Android app of Twitter.
The new functionality that the leaker shared suggests that the Android and iOS apps of Twitter will share a new similarity. It comes once the feature has been released on the mobile operating system of Google as well.
Android Police even further noted that it appears that the social media giant is now giving its Android app its much-needed love.
The news outlet went on to say that the Android version of the Twitter app is not as user-friendly as its counterpart for iPhones.
Twitter 'Text Selection' on Android
The leaker, Wong, revealed in one of her recent tweets that "Twitter for Android is finally working on the ability to select text on Tweet."
On top of that, Wong attached a screenshot of the Twitter Android app, wherein the new "text selection" feature is already available.
According to a recent report by Engadget, Wong has been reverse-engineering various mobile apps to unravel some of the new hidden features that its developers are currently working on.
Thus, Wong has leaked some of the previous features of numerous apps before it was even announced or released to see the light of day.
Twitter Android: Overview Selection
However, Engadget noted in its new story that some Android users got confused with the recent leak. It comes as some of these folks already have the ability to select text on the app of Twitter.
In fact, those who have been using Google Pixel mobile phones have been selecting text on the Android app of Twitter through the "Overview Selection" feature of the smartphone.
The said Pixel phone feature lets its users copy and paste text from any screen on their mobile devices.
Despite that, other Android smartphones have yet to have a feature that allows their users to copy and paste stuff on the Twitter app.
