The upcoming AMD Ryzen 7 5700X has been tested in a recent Geekbench experiment. According to the brief test, it was 2% percent slower than the 5800X model despite having a reduced TDP of 40W.
Ryzen 7 5700X vs Ryzen Ryzen 5800X
As Tom's Hardware spotted via @BenchLeaks, the newly-announced Ryzen 7 5700X is expected to land on April 7. That's not the only CPU that will be gracing the market since along with it, the Ryzen 5 5500 and 5600 will come, as well.
Its predecessor Ryzen 5 5600X has reportedly dropped its price in the past months. From its original price of $299, some offers sell it for just $250 and below.
This price appears to be the starting price for the 5700X which is a good deal for those who are looking for a Ryzen replacement. One noticeable feature that exists in the 5700X variant is its clock speeds which significantly declined (TDP).
Compared to the 5800X, the 5700X model posted a 400MHz decrease to its current base frequency which sits at 3.4 GHz. The latest Geekbench results hinted that the 5700X was 2% slower than the 5800X.
For the scoring, the single-threaded tests produced 1645 points for the 5700X while the 5800X obtained 1671 points. For the multi-threaded run, the former garnered 10196 points while the latter got 10338 points.
To be specific, the testers ran the 5700X on Asrock's X570 Taichi motherboard. Aside from that, it's also tested on a 32GB of 3200MHz memory. For Ryzen 5000, this is just a default specification.

AMD CPU 'Raphael' Production is Starting Soon
In another report from Videocardz, popular computer hardware leaker Greymon55 tweeted out a leak about a new Ryzen CPU dubbed "Raphael." According to the source, this rumored series is allegedly coming this April or May.
It should be noted that this news could mean something about its potential launch soon. Assuming that the production will begin in just a few weeks, we might possibly see it landing this year.
As a background, the previously-leaked CPU called AMD "Vermeer" had reportedly kicked off its production last July 2020. In that same year, it was launched after four months.
Given that some issues might arise during the production, there's a huge chance that we might see Raphael in Q4 2022. This is also a perfect time for AMD to enter the market to compete with the 13th-gen "Raptor Lake" from Intel.
Moreover, the 7000 series could bring up to 16 cores. It will also allegedly rely on zen 4 microarchitecture. Some rumors which tackled this CPU hinted at the possibility of 170W TDP.
Aside from that, we could expect it to have an AM4 cooler, in addition to its AM5 LGA socket cod.
