Apple's new 15-inch MacBook might not fall under its MacBook Air series, after all, prominent Cupertino giant analyst Kuo says, which goes contrary to earlier claims.
Apple's 15-Inch MacBook: Not a MacBook Air?
A recent report is claiming that Apple is releasing a new 15-inch MacBook sometime in 2023, which is rumored to be under the MacBook Air lineup of Apple, as per a news story by Apple Insider.
But this time around, the Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, is claiming otherwise on his recent Twitter post.
Kuo, who has been predicting tons of Apple products, Quote Retweeted a report about the rumored 15-inch MacBook Air, wherein he refuted this claim.
15-Inch MacBook
However, the Apple analyst echoed that Apple is potentially releasing a new 15-inch MacBook by next year.
Kuo claimed that Apple is planning to start the mass production of its new 15-inch laptop in the fourth quarter of 2023.
On top of that, Kuo also disclosed another spec that the upcoming MacBook is sporting aside from its 15-inch display.
The Cupertino-based tech giant analyst said that the rumored 15-inch MacBook comes with a 30W power adapter, which is similar to what current MacBook Air models are rocking.
Apple Insider noted in the same news story that its 30W power adapter suggests that the upcoming MacBook might not fall under its expensive lineup also known as "Pro."

New MacBook Series?
Despite that, though, Kuo further added that the new rumored MacBook "might not be called MacBook Air," which suggests that it would fall in another series.
However, it is to note that the Apple analyst himself is not so sure about this yet. Thus, he clearly used the word "might" in his prediction.
Meanwhile, according to a recent report by MacRumors, Apple has previously released a notebook machine that did not fall on either the Air or Pro series. Instead, it only carries the name "MacBook."
It is worth noting, though, that Apple has already discontinued its basic "MacBook" lineup way back in 2019, but that does not stop its comeback to the market.
On top of that, Apple could also introduce a new lineup altogether, adding to its current "Air" and "Pro" options.
