The 2022 iPhone SE 3 has passed the durability test from Allstate following the recent drop test for the new smartphone.
According to the latest report, it appears that it can withstand extreme heights despite the lack of a Ceramic Shield that we see in the iPhone 13.
Here's the outcome of the recent experiment involving this third-gen Apple smartphone.
Third-Gen iPhone SE Survives Drop Test
According to Apple Insider, Allstate revealed that the 2022 iPhone SE 3 managed to withstand the damage that it sustained after dropping from a high building. The cheaper iPhone 13 alternative appeared to be durable as everybody expected.
When the Cupertino giant presented this new product, it claimed that the 3rd-gen iPhone SE was so tough that it can survive spills and stumbles thanks to its "toughest glass."
Upon testing, Allstate concluded that what Apple previously claimed about the special edition smartphone was all true.
During the Breakability Tests, Allstate put the iPhone SE in several positions. It demonstrated various tests to show if it will immediately break upon falling or not.
Moreover, the "six-feet" durability test includes drops in face-down, back-down, and side-down positions to have a clear peek of the impact in the iPhone SE 3.

'No Ceramic Shield'
Speaking of Ceramic Shield, this smartphone does not have this protection feature that's similar to iPhone 13. Allstate saw the same result that took place with the latter and iPhone 12.
The low-cost smartphone was initially dropped in a face-down stance. Surprisingly, the drop test was favorable with it since it only got minor scuffing, per 9to5Mac.
For the next drop test, Allstate placed the iPhone Se 3 in the back position. It noticed that both iPhone 12 and 13 have survived the impact from the all. It is also important to know that these three phones used the same glass.
According to Allstate, the reason why the iPhone 13 came out unblemished is because of its flat sides. These particular parts paved the way for increased protection which is much better than the SE 3's rounded edges.
iPhone SE 3 Has Muffled Audio in iP67 Test
For the water-resistance test, the third-gen iPhone SE was placed underwater (one meter) for 30 minutes. Based on the experiment, it succeeded in the IP67 rating test, but there's a notable change at one point.
There was a report which showed that its audio was muffled for 60 minutes after it was retrieved from the water.
"With the 3rd generation iPhone SE, Apple has created a truly durable phone that doesn't break the bank. While its $429 price point makes the new iPhone SE a more affordable option, it can cost up to $299 to repair. That's why a case, screen protector, and protection plan are always good ideas," Jason Siciliano, the Allstate Protection Plan VP of marketing and creative director said.
Meanwhile, Tech Times reported that the iPhone 14 production is now underway.
