The third-generation iPhone SE, which introduces 5G support for the budget-friendly device of the Cupertino-based tech giant, has yet to release on Friday, Mar. 18.

However, analysts from Taiwan are now predicting that Apple will be selling millions of units of the new iPhone for this year alone, as per a news story by MacRumors.

The new iPhone SE 5G estimates are from Taiwan-based research analysts Luke Lin and Sean Lin, saying that its shipments could reach up to 30 million sales in 2022.

Meanwhile, according to a recent report by 9to5Mac, the prediction for the all-new iPhone SE 5G is around the same performance as its predecessor.

To be more precise, the second-generation iPhone SE sold about 25-30 million during its first year of debut way back in 2020. That said, the sales performance of the next-gen 5G version of the mobile device is not expected to outperform the 2020 budget Apple phone.

On the other hand, the iPhone maker has earlier announced that it has already prepared the parts or components that will be used for up to five million units of the new budget phone, at least for the first quarter of the year.

On top of that, Apple said that it expects the new iPhone SE to increase its shipments to 11 million in the second quarter of the year.

In the next quarter, the Cupertino tech giant also expects the sales to remain at 11 million before it dwindles in the last quarter of the year due to the release of the new flagship smartphone, the iPhone 14.
