Instagram suspended Kanye West's account for 24 hours or a single day after the rapper, designer, and producer have violated the policies of the social media platform.
Instagram Suspends Kanye West's Account
The parent firm of Instagram, Meta, which also owns other tech services like Facebook and WhatsApp, announced that it banned Ye, which is more famously known as Kanye West, from its platform temporarily.
As per a news story by NBC News, the Instagram account of Ye is currently restricted from performing various activities on the platform, such as sending direct messages, commenting, and posting on the social media giant.
It comes after Meta also announced that Ye violated the policies of the social media firm.
On top of that, a spokesperson from Meta also told NBC News in the same report that the content from the account of West has also been taken down for violating its policies.
What's more, the Meta spokesperson added that the firm will be implementing additional restrictions if West continues to violate the community guidelines of Instagram.

Meta Says Kanye West Violates Instagram Policies
To be more precise, the tech giant said that West violated the policies of Instagram, such as harassment, hate speech, as well as bullying.
According to a recent report by CNET, one of the Instagram posts of West also included some racial slurs directed at the Today Show host Trevor Noah.
Noah mentioned in his TV show segment what he claimed as public harassment of the ex-wife of West, Kim Kardashian.
The TV host went on to talk about the ongoing divorce of Ye and the reality star, asking his fans to stop making jokes about it.
In addition to that, Noah said in his segment on the TV show that the ongoing situation involving Ye and Kardashian "deserves a little more awareness from the general public."
He also acknowledged that some folks out there might think that the whole thing is a mere publicity stunt. The host claims that while Kardashian actually likes publicity herself, the reality star is also "being harassed."
West then responded to the pronouncements of The Daily Show host, wherein he stormed to Instagram to post several contents directed towards Noah. Instagram has since deleted these posts and has now suspended the account of Ye.
