It is to note that the Epic Games Store has previously given away tons of sought-after gaming titles for a limited time, such as "Hitman," "Grand Theft Auto V," among other top-grossing games.
Epic Games Offers "Cities: Skyline" for Free
As per a news story by Comicbook.com, Epic Games is now offering the popular city-building gaming title, "Cities: Skyline" for free on its online game storefront for both Windows and macOS.
The "Cities: Skyline" first saw the light of day when both Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order launched the city-builder game way back in 2015.
Since then, it has already garnered more than 6 million sales as of the latest figures for 2019.
On top of that, the news outlet highlighted that the new free game from Epic Games Store carries an impressive "Very Positive" score from the Steam User Review Rating. Not to mention that almost all of the nearly 140,000 players of the game have left a positive review.
What's more, the city-builder game also carries an 85 score on Metacritic, making it under the "Generally Favorable Reviews" tier of the aggregates reviews platform for entertainment and gaming.
Epic Games Free Title Next Week
According to a recent report by PCGamesN, Epic Games Store is replacing the limited free run of "Cities: Skylines" next Thursday, March 17, with the highly-rated horror gaming title, "In Sound Mind."
Unlike the city-builder game, which is the current free game on Epic Games Store, the next freebie is a newer game, which only launched on Steam last September.
The devs of "In Sound Mind" were also the folks who worked tirelessly to make the Nightmare House 2 mod for the first shooter game, "Half-Life 2."
Since "In Sound Mind" was released last year or in 2021, it has consistently received high praises from its players with an "Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam User Review Rating.
