Smash World Tour is Back Offline
As per a news story by Dot Esports, the Smash World Tour is finally going back to its original in-person format, which has been halted by the COVID-19 pandemic for two years.
However, things are about to go back to normal as the Smash World Tour 2022 is bringing back in-person competitions this December 2022.
The comeback of the Smash World Tour to its offline format is also more notable as the prize pool for the Championship event this year has skyrocketed to a whopping $250,000.
On top of the Championship event, there will be over 35 in-person major events like during the pre-COVID days. It will begin this March 17 to Nov. 22, leading to the Smash World Tour 2022 Championship from Dec. 8 to 11.
The Smash World Tour this year still follows the tournament format from its previous iterations, wherein players are competing under various tiers, such as Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
However, the event for this year includes an additional tier that goes by the name Super Silver, which is lower than the Silver tier.
