Tesla EVs Take Top 3 Spots on January BEV Sales
As per a news story by Teslarati, the EV tech giant billionaire Elon Musk continues to reign in the electric vehicle sales in the US.
To be more precise, the Tesla Model Y, Tesla Model 3, and the Tesla Model S are the top three BEVs in terms of registrations in the country.
Meanwhile, another Tesla EV, the mid-size crossover known as the Model X, still made it to the top 10 list, taking the second to the last spot.
That said, there were a total of four Tesla EVs in the top 10 list of BEV sales last Jan.
Teslarati noted in the same story that the CEO and founder of Tesla, Musk, previously predicted that the Model Y will soon outsell other EVs on the market.

January BEV Sales
It is worth noting that the number of newly registered BEVs in the US is around 50,000 in total, which includes EVs from various carmakers, such as Ford, Tesla, Nissan, Hyundai, and Kia. Not to mention that Porsche and Volkwagen also made it as top sellers.
The best-selling EV last Jan., the Tesla Model Y, impressively took 36.8% of all the BEV sales during the said period, according to a recent report by InsideEVs.
On top of that, another Tesla EV, the Model 3 sedan, also took a massive slice of the pie of up to 27%.
The top two vehicles of Tesla combined snatches more than 60% of the total market share. It still did not include the other Tesla EVs in the list, such as the Tesla Model S and the Tesla Model X.
Meanwhile, another American automaker, Ford, took the fourth spot through its Mustang Mach-E with a total of 2,781 registered vehicles.
The Japanese carmaker, Nissan, got the fifth spot after selling 1,479 units of LEAF in the United States last Jan.
