Apple's New Mac Studio

As per a news story by The Verge, the Cupertino-based tech giant has already unveiled its new desktop system, which looks like a bigger version of the Mac Mini, known as the Mac Studio.

The new Mac Studio of Apple has variations. The first one carries the powerful M1 Max chip, which first saw the light of day in the recent MacBook Pro models.

The more powerful version of the desktop system features the all-new M1 Ultra, which is now the most powerful Apple Silicon chip, dethroning the powerful M1 Max chip.

The Verge noted that even though the new desktop system, the Mac Studio, looks akin to the Mac Mini, Apple touts it to be even more powerful than the most expensive Mac Pro, which sports a bulkier design-similar to traditional PCs.

To be precise, the iPhone maker says that the new M1 Ultra chip performs 90 percent faster than the top-of-the-line Mac Pro with 16 cores.

On top of that, Apple also stated that the new Mac Mini-looking machine is almost eight times faster in performance than its smaller counterpart.

As such, if the claims of Apple were to be believed, the new Mac Studio is the most powerful machine in the lineup of the Cupertino tech giant.

Apple Mac Studio and NASA Software

To further prove that the all-new Mac Studio is extremely powerful, Apple went on to use the software of NASA or the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, known as the TetrUSS.

According to a recent report by SpaceExplored, Apple used the software of the space agency to flaunt the impressive performance of the new Silicon chip, the M1 Ultra.

It is worth noting that the tech giant dubs its new desktop system as the Mac for professionals.

Thus, Apple decided to go the extra mile that its new machines are definitely not for personal use alone by using the software of NASA.

NASA's TetrUSS Software

NASA says that the TetrUSS is its most awarded software, which the space agency uses for the design and analysis of both aerodynamics and fluid dynamics.

The United States space agency stated that the said software is also utilized "in other government organizations, the aerospace industry, academia, and non-aerospace industries such as automotive, bio-medical, and civil engineering."

All that said, there's no better way to boast outstanding performance than using software that NASA engineers themselves are using.
