Google is expected to launch its first ever smartwatch and it is tentatively being called the Pixel Watch. Reports have started to surface regarding Google's inventory database, which shows that the wearable could be hitting shelves some time soon.
Google Pixel Watch to Match Material You Design on Android 12
Although certain hardware specifications as well as fitness capabilities have remained quite a mystery so far, the device is currently rumored to offer some particular level of integration to Fitbit. It is also said to have some integration with other software aesthetic in line with Google's new Material You design, which was introduced along with the Android 12.
According to the story by Screen Rant, Google app's very own code has also just recently dropped some clues as well. The upcoming smartwatch by Google is said to offer a better version of the Google Assistant as well as some new exclusive features that make it stand out in comparison with its competition.
New Virtual Assistant Gets Speed Boost
The new virtual assistant could also be getting a boost in speed. Rumors are now suggesting that Google Assistant on the upcoming smartwatch will be relying on certain on-device processing in order to be able to swiftly respond and accomplish certain tasks.
The Pixel Watch has reportedly already been listed on the database of a certain inventory system belonging to an unnamed US carrier, according to Android Police.
The smartwatch was previously under the "Rohan" codename and will come in at least three color options. These options include black, gray, and gold.
Google Pixel 6 Series Colors
Alleged product renders of the Google smartwatch also started to appear a few months ago. These renders show the device in different colors, which include sky blue and orange. These colors are seen in Google's latest Pixel 6 series as well.
The report also notes that the upcoming Pixel Watch could come out with a variant that has cellular connectivity similar to the Galaxy Watch by Samsung and the Apple Watch lineup.
As of writing, there is still no information regarding the phone's inner specs or any other features expected to launch with the first ever Google smartwatch.

Smartwatch Design Includes Round Steel Casing and Glass Display
When it comes to the smartwatch design, the upcoming Pixel Watch is said to come wrapped with a round steel casing as well as a glass display that "slopes along the periphery."
Early rumors are also claiming that Google will be putting custom silicon inside the smartwatch. The silicon is said to be similar to Google Pixel 6 as well as its Tensor chip.
Certain leakers have also pointed towards the Pixel watch using a Samsung-made Exynos processor. Qualcomm, however, has also just recently launched its own smartwatch chip but, according ti Screen Rant, the Pixel Watch is unlikely to use Qualcomm's new smartwatch chip.
