Google Pixel Watch is now rumored to be launched this coming spring. Rumors provided this detail after some reports discovered that the giant search engine provider is conducting internal tests for the new wearable device.
The upcoming smartwatch was first introduced in 2021 after Google provided some hints about its arrival.
Various speculations also claimed that the new Google Pixel Watch might arrive together with other 2021 hardware products.
However, the rumored 2021 launch date did not take place. Now, new leaks suggest that it will finally arrive this 2022.
Google Pixel Watch's Leaked Codename
According to BGR's latest report, Google Pixel Watch's codename (Rohan) appeared in a U.S. carrier inventory system.
Based on the leaked details, the new wearable device of Google will be available in three color variants.
These include the gold, black, and gray versions. Aside from this, it is also expected to sport 32GB onboard storage, as reported by WCCF Tech. This is a larger memory feature compared to the one offered by the Galaxy Watch 4.
The 32GB storage feature of the Google Pixel Watch actually matches the memory of the Apple Watch. This is just one of the specifications made by Google so that its smartwatch can compete against Apple's wearable gadget.
Pixel Watch and Pixel 6A Will Both Arrive?
Rumors claimed that the new Google Pixel Watch would arrive together with the new Pixel 6A smartphone model. This means that the new handset could also have the same spring release date.
The new Google Pixel 6A phone is expected to offer a Tensor chipset already available in the current Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
Pixel 6A might have the same design output as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro when it comes to the external design. But, some leakers reject this idea, saying that the casing will be the same as the one offered by Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
