Apple Removes Mask Mandate for Some Employees

As per a news story by The Verge, the Cupertino-based tech giant has begun relaxing its mask requirements for some of its corporate workers located in the United States.

Apple said that its employees that have already been fully vaccinated from COVID-19 would no longer have to wear their masks in some locations. It still depends if the mask mandate in the location of the office of the tech giant has already been removed.

On the other hand, the retail employees of the Cupertino tech giant on the Apple Stores are also no longer required to wear their face masks, at least for "a small number of locations."

It is the second time around that the iPhone maker has dropped its mask requirement for its employees.

It is to note that Apple has previously stopped requiring some retail store and corporate employees from wearing their face masks way back in June 2021.

However, the attempt of the iPhone maker to go back to normal has been shortly derailed after Apple announced that the mask requirement is back for both customers and employees last July 2021.

Apple Relaxes Mask Requirements

This time around, though, according to a recent report by Bloomberg, Apple is starting to let go of its mask requirement for both customers and workers once again.

It comes as the COVID-19 cases in various parts of the US have already declined, as well as the increasing relaxation of mandate in numerous locations.

It is to note that Apple has also dropped its face mask requirement for its customers on multiple retail store locations in the country last Feb, which follows the local mandates in different states.

Despite relaxing mask requirements for Apple Stores, the tech giant still encourages their visitors to wear their face coverings. Its staffers are still giving away face masks for customers that do not have one themselves.

On top of that, the iPhone maker has also brought back its in-person Today at Apple classes in its various stores.

Apple Return to Office

Although Apple is gradually relaxing its face mask requirements for its customers and vaccinated employees, the tech firm has yet to announce when it is reopening its offices.
