PS5's VRR support is currently one of the most-awaited innovations from Sony. The variable refresh rate feature can enhance the gaming experience of PlayStation 5 owners since it can remove screen tearing on display.
This is just one of the benefits that VRR can offer once it is integrated into PS5 consoles. Right now, the lucky Sony product receiving this feature is the Bravia XR TV lineup.
"Sony has started rolling out the long-awaited VRR firmware update on the company's 2021 TVs with BRAVIA XR processor," said a leaker named Vincent Teoh via his official tweet.
Will PS5 VRR Support Arrive?
As of the moment, Sony hasn't confirmed if PlayStation 5 consoles will also support the advanced VRR feature.
But, some speculations claimed that the arrival of the variable refresh rate feature on the Bravia XR televisions is a sign that Sony will also do the same with its PS5 tech.
Although this is the case, many people said that PS5 still doesn't have VRR. They explained that PlayStation 5 consoles would only have this feature if the manufacturer releases a system-level update for PS5.
According to Tech Radar's latest report, VRR has been one feature that greatly enhances gaming console experiences for the past few years.
But why is VRR such a big deal?
Why VRR Feature is a Big Deal?
Segment Next explained that the variable refresh rate could solve the frame-stuttering issues on your PlayStation 5 consoles, especially when the screen used is not compatible with PS5.
But, it seems like Sony's fans will need to wait longer as the company hasn't confirmed any PS5 VRR support integration yet.
Unlike PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S already support the advanced variable refresh rate feature, allowing owners to have smoother gaming graphics.
The official PlayStation Store recently released discounted PS5 and PS5 titles in other news. Meanwhile, some PS5 retro modifications started appearing on Reddit.
