An "Elden Ring" mod is now bringing the pause option to the players of the action role-playing game, which was developed by FromSoftware.

As per a news story by PC Gamer, the "Elden Ring" does not come with an option to pause the game officially.

The news outlet said that FromSoftware, the developer of "Elden Ring" says it is challenging to include a pause button to the RPG title.

Although some players could accept this and end up holding their bladder while they are in the middle of an intense boss fight, some need an option to pause the game.

Thankfully, there is a mod out there that brings a pause option to the FromSoftware gaming title, allowing its players to stop the game in the middle of a boss fight.

'Elden Ring' Mod: How it Works

To be more precise, a modder that goes by the name TechieW went the extra mile to bring an option to pause the PC version of "Elden Ring" in the middle of the game.

However, to install the simple mod that brings that pause button, players will have to disable the Easy Anti-Cheat feature to avoid any problems launching the modded game.

PC Gamer showed that the modded version of "Elden Ring" now comes with an option to halt the RPG title in the middle of the game. Once paused, a pop-up message saying "Game Paused" will show while the game is temporarily stopped.

On top of that, the pause option also works smoothly, making it appear like the RPG title officially has the missing button. Not to mention that the installation process is also seamless.

How to Pause 'Elden Ring' on PS5, Xbox

It is to note that the mod only brings the pause button to the PC version of the game. However, there is also a trick that its players could use if they are playing on either a PlayStation or an Xbox.

According to a recent report by GameSpot, "Elden Ring" has no official pause option on gaming consoles, such as the PS5 and Xbox systems.

However, there is a simple trick that would allow players of the RPG title to pause it in the middle of some action.

To do so, GameSpot said that players have to put their gaming consoles into suspend mode to pause the game.
