Opening two windows side-by-side has been a go-to option not only for power users but even those who are simply browsing the web while doing something else.
There are endless possibilities for opening two windows side by side, including reading a document while composing an email on the other side.
Some may use the "Split View" option to search the web while writing a document at the same time.
Essentially, the split-screen option helps users to efficiently boost their productivity even in as simply as opening two windows side by side.
Apple Split View: How it Works
The Split View function of Apple on macOS is available for Mac users that have macOS Catalina or later versions installed on their machines.
The Mac feature lets users have two windows opened side by side, hiding all of the other apps that might be opened in the background as well.
On top of that, Split View also gives an option to resize the two windows by dragging the edges where the two windows meet. It could be useful when one window should be bigger than the other to see all of its contents like spreadsheets.
Having windows opened side by side forces its users to focus exclusively on two apps.
