Apple is dropping its face mask requirement for visitors and employees in their Apple Store physical retail shops, but it would be different for the state's mandate. Some Apple stores are also bringing back its "Today at Apple" in-person classes for all interested applicants and learners for everything about the technology of the Cupertino company.
Apple Drops Face Mask Requirements on Apple Stores
Apple's retail website updated its requirements for its visitors on Apple Stores, and it has already dropped face mask requirements for customers and employees alike. However, it is essential to visit their website and locate the store for its specific mask requirement as some locations follow the safety guidelines of their state for this mandate.
For example, The Apple Store in SoHo, New York, does not require users to use face masks when walking in the shop and look at its display devices in the location. However, Apple's Tower Theatre in Los Angeles, California, still requires users to wear face masks, and if they do not have one, its staff are handing out some coverings for the public to use.
'Today at Apple' In-Person Classes to Resume on Some Locations
On the other hand, Apple Store locations that have already dropped their face mask requirements or are no longer mandated by the state are bringing back its "Today at Apple" in-person classes. It means that users can already attend in-person courses with other students to learn about what Apple has to offer for its technology.
Apple Store Mask Mandate
In late 2021 around November, Apple already dropped its face mask requirements for all visitors and employees, giving them the sense of what it was before the pandemic. However, Omicron came and changed that for everyone as mask mandates were reinstated by Apple and other establishments that accept walk-in guests.
Last December, Apple brought back the requirements for all, especially amidst the rise of the Omicron variant and the many cases of COVID-19 in the country. The safety measure aims to protect the Apple Store employees and its visitors from harboring the coronavirus in the thousands of locations in the country and avoid a breakout.
Now, it is removing its face mask requirements for all Apple Stores, but it would depend on the state they are in, especially those that still require masks as they need to follow protocols. Nevertheless, this means that interested visitors and customers can resume the "normal" experiences in the stores, even in-person classes for everything Apple.
