Truth Social recently arrived in the popular Apple App Store. The new social media platform, which former U.S. President Donald Trump backs, had a soft launch on Sunday, Feb. 20.
After that, the Apple App Store decided to roll out the new online site completely. Since it is quite popular, Truth Social topped Apple App Store's charts.
Aside from beating other applications on iOS, Trump's social media platform's debut somehow helped the shares of Digital World Acquisition Corp, a blank-check company backed by Trump.
Truth Social Leads To Digital World's Share Surge
According to CNBC's latest report, after Truth Social arrived on Apple App Store, Digital World's shares increased by 26% ($106.44).

The blank-check company is now benefitting from the rising online platform since it decided to list Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), the American media firm behind the development of Truth Social.
Aside from Digital World, other companies backed by Trump also experienced a stock surge. These include Phumware, the tech firm the former POTUS' 2020 Presidential re-election campaign hired.
On the other hand, SPAC CF Acquisition Corp VI also experienced a 5.4% share increase after Apple App Store launched the Truth Social app.
Truth Social Still Experiences Issues
Since Truth Social is a new online platform, bugs and other system issues are inevitable. CNET reported that some fans are seeing error messages when they try to create their own accounts.
On the other hand, others are placed on a waitlist.
"Due to massive demand, we have placed you on our waitlist," stated Truth Social's error message.
