CAPCOM confirmed its latest game, and it is the sequel to the popular series, teasing the newest development of the company with "Street Fighter 6." After several years of holding back on the franchise that released different DLCs and content for its experience, the game sees a sequel but not a successor in the title's career.
CAPCOM Confirms 'Street Fighter 6,' Releases Teaser
CAPCOM released a teaser trailer for "Street Fighter 6," and it confirms the sequel for the famous game franchise that started in the late 1980s and was one of the pioneers for modern arcade fighting titles. The teaser focuses on Luke, the last DLC from "Street Fighter V" speculations for a significant role in this sequel.
The rumors about Luke for this sequel get a confirmation in the recent teaser, where he provokes Ryu to fight with him with both characters shown delivering their blows.
The game focuses on Ryu with a full beard, showcasing that he aged since the events of "Street Fighter V" and "Street Fighter IV," which is the correct timeline for the game's plot.

CAPCOM to Bring News for 'SF6' This Summer
The game developer and publisher said that more information for "Street Fighter 6" is coming this Summer, and it would be several months before gamers and fans get news from the game.
However, the teaser is a major indication that the game will release for public distribution and assurance for gamers awaiting the sequel.
'Street Fighter 6': To Finally Retire 'SF:V?'
The "Street Fighter" franchise did not get as much hype over the past years despite its many company releases that update the game on showcases or events. One of which is CAPCOM's contest for "SF" fans about a Winter 2020 costume design competition that invites different fits for the characters in the game.
It is almost six years ago since CAPCOM last released "Street Fighter V" that heavily focused its narrative on its main villain, M. Bison, which takes on the perspective of Charlie Nash. One of the series' main character, Ryu, holds back from participating in the call to action as he attempts to secure his "Dark Hadou" within him.
The timeline here took place between the events of "Street Fighter III" and "Street Fighter IV."
"Street Fighter" remains in the top 5 games from CAPCOM's releases throughout the year.
The release of a sequel usually means that the old and current game is already retiring or replaced by the developers for a new title. The teaser for "SF6" may mean an end of an era for "Street Fighter V" that was released several years ago, following the gaps between the last four games to have almost the same lengths.
