"Resident Evil 4 Remake" leak reveals new expansive details of what to expect from the rumored Capcom game, which has yet to be officially announced.
However, Capcom is reportedly planning to unveil the remake of "Resident Evil 4" early this year, as per a news story Fanbyte.
Meanwhile, according to the recent report by ComicBook.com, the leak further disclosed numerous major details regarding the unannounced remake of the "Resident Evil 4."
'Resident Evil 4 Remake' Leaked Details
If the latest details about the game were accurate, here are some of what fans of the franchise could expect from its rumored remake release.
The leak suggests that the remake of the game would flaunt major differences from its original game, noting that it would not be a precise scene-by-scene recreation of "Resident Evil 4."
On top of that, the setting of a "decent portion" of the game is also said to have dramatically shifted into nighttime, which massively changes the timeline of the remake from the original.
ComicBook.com further noted in the same report that the original "Resident Evil 4" started the game during the day, but its remake is reportedly going the opposite route.
What's more, the leak also says that the story of the remake will put a spotlight on some of the side characters in the original version, giving them more screen time in the rumored gaming title.
In turn, both the Separate Ways and Assignment: Ada are reportedly going to be expanded into a single package in the rumored game, as per the latest report from IGN.
In addition to that, the Fanbyte report also revealed a redesign of Albert Wesker, which echoes previous rumors about the remake. The leak noted that said redesign was reused from another unnamed Resident Evil project, which was reportedly canceled.
'Resident Evil 4 Remake' Horror Approach
IGN further highlighted in its news story that Capcom reportedly plans to give the remake of "Resident Evil 4" a theme that is more focused on horror.
As mentioned earlier, the timeline of the remake primarily focuses on nighttime, giving the game a spookier vibe than the original version.
The news outlet noted that the "Resident Evil 4" gave a vibe that is more focused on action scenes, but the remake is said to be leaning towards a horror theme.
It is worth noting, though, that "Resident Evil 4" released its VR version for the Meta Quest 2 last Oct. 2021, which is somewhat a remake of the original game as well.
