PlayStation 5 stocks are still hard to come by now, but the console became exceptionally scarce in the market and online retailers in February. The PS5 restock became less frequent, something that the world is experiencing now because of its chip shortage that affects its production and availability online.
PS5 Restock: What's Happening to the Console Now?
The PlayStation company already brought a different way to purchase the beloved console via its Direct website, and it is different compared to how it made people queue up before. Now, users get a chance to sign-up via the PlayStation's Sony Direct Website, where they will receive an email before proceeding to the store.
Getting a specific code and email will guarantee a console for its suggested retail price, which changes the queue system and "first-come, first-served basis" it had before.
The restocks were more frequent back in December and January as the company had console stocks in their production. That signifies 2022's start for Sony is not ideal, especially as it now misses the chance to produce units of the gaming console for distribution.
Sony's production took a hit in the latter part of January when console availability dropped, which users feel until now.
