'Deadpool' Actor Ryan Reynolds Not Surprised For Crypto's Emergence as 'Huge Player'

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds acknowledged the presence of cryptocurrencies in the market.

According to the Hollywood star, he sees them emerging as a "huge player." Despite acknowledging the digital coins, he did not mention whether he invested some money in the blockchain or not.

Despite the volatility of the market that still whips the value of the cryptos, many people are becoming more aware of this type of investment.

Aside from the businessmen, the biggest names in the acting industry also expressed their support for cryptocurrencies.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg on Tuesday, Feb. 15, Ryan Reynolds shared what he thought of cryptocurrencies at the moment.

The 45-year-old actor who played "Deadpool" in the 2016 film said that he was not surprised knowing that crypto has emerged for a long time as a "huge player," according to Bitcoin.com.

In addition, Reynolds also lauded the efforts of the firms in creating an accessible and safer avenue for digital coins.

"90% of the word 'crypto' is 'crypt' so I see why certain folks might be put off or intimidated by it," he added.

Despite his clear support for the industry, Reynolds did not reveal if he was investing in crypto or not. He said that he did not want to comment about that.

Reynolds on Crypto Ads in Super Bowl

Regarding the Super Bowl event, Reynolds said that one crypto ad on Coinbase caught his attention. Indeed, featuring celebrities in advertisements is an effective way to attract the attention of the public.

Furthermore, he admitted that he enjoyed Crypto.com's commercial which features NBA superstar LeBron James.

In connection to this huge sports tournament, Tech Times reported that Drake managed to collect more than $1,000 in Bitcoin after he won in a bet. The match favored the Los Angeles Rams over Cincinnati Bengals.

Other Actors Who Support Cryptocurrency

In another report by Crypto Potato, several stars also showed their support in the crypto industry.

One notable actress who backed up the digital assets was Reese Witherspoon, which according to the article has already invested in ETH as part of a crypto-focused project.

Another female actor who expressed her support for cryptocurrencies was Paris Hilton who disclosed that she loved Bitcoin. She said that in her previous tweet with a "diamond emoticon."

Other than that, Matt Damon is also a known crypto advocate who has partnered with Crypto.Com exchange to create an ad. However, some people criticized what he had done.

The majority of the comments wrote that the "Bourne" actor should not have teamed up with the firm.

As for the part of the famous personalities who are doubtful on cryptos and NFTs, Ye or formerly known as Kanye West is one of them. Tech Times wrote on Feb. 1 that the artist wanted to focus more on building "real" products instead of investing in non-fungible tokens.
