Toyota's Lexus electric sports car images of its concept look have been released, teasing what's coming to its battery electric vehicle or BEV.
Toyota's Lexus Electric Sports Car
As per a news story by Electrek, Toyota, the parent company of the luxury carmaker Lexus, has been focusing on hybrid plug-in and fuel cell hydrogen vehicles with its recent releases.
However, last December 2021, the Japanese automaker laid out its plans to finally enter the market of BEVs or fully electric vehicles, similar to what Tesla has been rolling out.
Toyota unveiled before 2021 comes to an end that it plans to launch a lineup of battery electric vehicles, which includes its luxury sports brand, Lexus.
According to a report by InsideEVs, Toyota further said that it plans to create an all-electric hypercar.
The news outlet observed that the concept way back in December quite mimics the looks of the defunct sports car of Lexus, the LFA.
But it is worth noting that the Japan-based automaker has yet to release any specific details regarding their upcoming BEVs, such as their production dates.
This time around, though, Toyota is generous enough to share a couple of concept photos of an upcoming Lexus electric sports car to the public, giving them a glimpse of what to look forward to from its fully electric fleet.
Lexus Electric Sports Car New Images
Lexus admitted in its press release along with the new images of its electric sports car that its looks pay homage to none other than its two-door sports car, the Lexus LFA.
The luxury carmaker explained that the concept design of the fully-electric sports car follows the high-performance engineering requirements of the speedy EV.
Lexus Electric Sports Car Performance
InsideEVs stated in the same report that Toyota touted that the upcoming electric sports car boasts an impressive acceleration performance of 0-100 kilometers per hour or 62 miles per hour for only 2.5 seconds. Not to mention that it is powered by a solid-state battery.
On top of that, Electrek reported that Lexus announced its sports EV flaunts 430 miles of battery range.
With that performance in mind, Lexus gave its "possible" sports EV a low stance, which helped the performance vehicle sports a more sleek look.
What's more, the luxury carmaker added that the "bold proportions" of the vehicle are also part of its high-performance engineering.
