A leaked screenshot shows what things consumers can see in the new WhatsApp Beta version. Recently, WhatsApp faced several issues because of its parent company's data-sharing habits.

Because of this, many consumers decided to use other alternatives. Although this is the case, the Meta-owned app is still making efforts to enhance its platform further.

WhatsApp Communities' Details

According to 9To5Mac's latest report, the new WhatsApp Communities feature can help admins to manage their group chats more efficiently.

This new function offers two benefits, which are the following:

  • WhatsApp Communities can send announcements to all members of a Communities group chat.
  • WhatsApp Communities allow admins to add the groups they manage into one place for easy access.

These two features mean admins can also send messages to all their GCs at once. Experts described the new Communities feature as a private place for admins to have safer conversations.

Aside from this, you can also easily differentiate Communities chat boxes since they have square icons instead of circular ones, which is the standard for normal group chats.

Other New WhatsApp Features

Communities group chat is not the only enhancement that is being released to the giant messaging platform. Business Standard reported that WhatsApp also rolled out a new calling interface.

However, this feature is not yet globally available. Only selected Android users can access this new feature. The new function offers waveforms that will allow users to identify the speaker when it comes to function.

This new function was spotted on the Beta version 2.22.5.3 of WhatsApp.

In other news, Whatsapp Android Beta's Voice Notes feature will soon be released. Meanwhile, a new WhatsApp scam can lead to identity theft! Because of this, security experts are now warning consumers to conduct extra safety actions.
