Tesla Cybertruck can actually be turned into a functional boat? This is what a young Seattle businessman claims after he unveiled his own concept of modifying the most awaited electric pickup truck of Elon Musk.
As of the moment, this is still quite hard to believe since the zero-emission truck is not yet sold to the public. Ever since the Cybertruck was unveiled by Tesla, it has faced various delays because of several issues.
Reuters reported that the advanced EV is now expected to be released around 2023, which is almost a one-year delay.
However, the delays did not stop Anthony Diamond, the CEO of Memory Maps Inc. from sharing his modification idea.
Tesla Cybertruck as Cybercat!
According to The Street's latest report, Diamond based his idea on Elon Musk's tweet back in 2020, when the billionaire announced that Cybertruck's design is influenced by "The Spy Who Loved Me" movie.
Cybertruck can be an amphibious vehicle if the modification concept is efficient. However, since Tesla is not the one that will do this enhancement, interested consumers will need to do it with the help of Memory Maps Inc.
On the other hand, Anthony claimed that soon-to-be Cybertruck owners can complete the modification in just 10 minutes. But, how much will it cost?
Transforming Cybertruck Into Catamaran
Diamond explained that transforming the Tesla Cybertruck into a catamaran, a multi-hulled boat with two parallel hulls, is cheaper than purchasing a standalone boat.
Aside from this, he added that once the EV is turned into a watercraft, it can easily sail compared to the normal catamarans.
When it comes to pricing, Anthony claimed that the modification process could cost between $22,900 up to $32,900. On the other hand, the CEO also explained that Cybetruck could also be turned into a houseboat.
In other news, Tesla Model X deliveries can face more delays. Meanwhile, DFEH sues Tesla after the company allegedly conducts unfair treatment against its employees.
